Women's Bean Project

Placed my first order after seeing Women's Bean Project featured in a magazine article about social enterprises. I ordered four items and was pleasantly surprised by how quickly they arrived. The Black Bean Soup was delicious and I appreciated that the recipe suggestions on the back were creative and practical. I took off one star only because I wished the website had a few more product photos, but the quality of what I received was excellent. Will be ordering again soon.

This organization is doing something truly special and their products reflect that care and intentionality. I've ordered the soup mixes, baking mixes, and several gift sets over the past two years. Every time I'm impressed by the consistency and quality. I recently gave a coworker a birthday gift set and she was moved to tears when she learned about the mission. These are products you can feel genuinely good about buying. Can't recommend them enough.

Ordered a sampler to try before committing to a larger gift order and I'm very glad I did. The products are really impressive, especially the pasta e fagioli mix which my husband said was better than what we get at our favorite Italian restaurant. The packaging is clean and professional and the mission statement card included in the box was touching. I'll definitely be ordering the full gift sets for the holidays. My only small note is that I'd love to see more spice variety options.

Their products have gotten even better over time and the new additions to their line are wonderful. I hosted a soup swap this winter and brought three of their mixes to share and they were the clear crowd favorites. This is a company with real heart and real quality. I encourage everyone I know to shop here instead of generic grocery store brands.

Stumbled across Women's Bean Project while searching for unique gifts and ended up spending way more than I planned because everything looked so good. I ordered for three different people and also got something for myself. The brownie mix was incredibly easy to make and tasted like something from a bakery. Every recipient reached out to say how much they loved the gift. This has become my new favorite place to shop for meaningful, quality presents. The social mission is the cherry on top.

I really wanted to love this experience given how meaningful their mission is but I ran into several frustrations. My order took nearly three weeks to arrive with no tracking updates for over a week. When I reached out to customer service I waited four days for a reply. One of the soup mixes I received had a torn seam on the bag and some of the contents had spilled inside the outer packaging. I'll probably try again someday because I believe in what they're doing but this particular experience was disappointing.

Ordered a gift set for my mother two weeks before her birthday and it arrived five days late despite paying for standard shipping. When I contacted customer service to ask about the delay I got a canned response that didn't address my specific question. My mother appreciated the gesture but the beans themselves were fine, nothing remarkable. For the price I paid I expected better logistics and communication. I won't be ordering again.

I appreciate the mission of this organization and wanted to support it but I had a frustrating experience with my order. I received the wrong items, a completely different selection than what I ordered, and had to go through a lengthy back and forth with customer service to get it resolved. The replacement took another ten days. The soup mixes I eventually received were decent but not worth the hassle. I hope they improve their fulfillment process because the cause deserves better execution.
