The handyman did okay work on my fence repairs but the quote I received online was significantly lower than what I ended up paying. There were a lot of 'extras' added on that weren't clearly explained upfront. I expected more pricing transparency from a platform like Networx.
The matching process on Networx is fast, I'll give them that. But the handyman they sent to fix my porch steps did only half the job before saying he needed different materials and would be back. He came back two days late and the final result is just average. Not worth the premium price.
My experience with Networx was mixed. The handyman who came to hang my TV and run the cables was polite and did an acceptable job, but charged me $40 more than the estimate without warning. When I asked about it he said it was for 'extra hardware.' I wish that had been communicated before the work was done.
