I'm a retired teacher and I care deeply about how indigenous cultures are represented in educational settings. Unfortunately this tour felt more like a performance for tourists than a genuine cultural exchange. Several of the 'traditional' elements felt staged and the community members we briefly met seemed uncomfortable with the format. I left feeling like I had watched a show rather than learned anything real. The marketing promises much more than the product delivers.

Spent over $3,000 for a tour that was cut from five days to three with about a week's notice due to what they vaguely called 'logistical issues.' The partial refund they offered didn't come close to covering the cost of changing our flights. The two days we did go were fine, but fine is not what I paid for. I've filed a complaint and am still waiting to hear back almost two months later. Deeply frustrated with how this was handled.
