Radical Tea Towel

Ordered a tea towel as a gift over three weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived. I've sent two emails to customer service and only received one generic response telling me to wait. At this point the birthday has already passed and the gift is useless. Very disappointed in the lack of communication and transparency about international shipping delays.

I was really excited to order from this company based on the reviews I'd read, but the reality didn't match the hype. The fabric felt thin and cheap, not the lush cotton I was expecting. The design itself was nice but the overall construction was underwhelming for the price. Wouldn't order again.

The checkout process charged me in GBP without making it obvious during the transaction. By the time I noticed the exchange rate, I'd paid significantly more than I budgeted for. The towel itself is okay but not exceptional. I felt misled by the pricing display on the website and won't be ordering from an overseas shop without triple-checking currency again.

The design I ordered was listed as in stock but after placing my order I received an email saying it was backordered with no clear timeline. I asked to substitute a different design and the customer service team took five days to respond. By that point I just wanted a refund. The refund was eventually processed but the whole experience was unnecessarily complicated.

I gifted one of these towels to a friend who is a big tea enthusiast and she was underwhelmed. The print started to crack after just a couple of washes, which is not something you expect from a premium-priced item. I was embarrassed that the gift deteriorated so quickly. The initial quality seems good but it doesn't hold up to regular use.

I like the concept and the political art angle is genuinely interesting, but the execution on my specific towel was disappointing. There was a visible smear on the printed area that looked like a production defect. I didn't feel like going through the hassle of an international return so I just kept it. For the price I expected better quality control.

I've ordered from UK-based shops before without any issues so I thought this would be straightforward. Unfortunately the towel arrived with a musty smell that required multiple washes to get out. The design is charming and the fabric is soft enough, but receiving a product that smells like it sat in a damp warehouse is not acceptable. Customer service was polite but dismissive when I mentioned it.
