Safe Streets

I really wanted to like Safe Streets but my experience has been frustrating from the start. The installation took nearly twice as long as quoted and the technician left a mess behind, including a hole in my drywall that was never patched. I called to complain and was told someone would follow up within 48 hours. That was three weeks ago. The system itself works okay but one of the window sensors keeps throwing false alarms in the middle of the night. I've had the police show up twice unnecessarily. I'm now considering switching companies.

The sales process was smooth and the rep was very convincing, but once they had my signature things went downhill. The installation appointment was rescheduled twice without much notice. When the technician finally came, he seemed unfamiliar with the equipment and had to call someone for help multiple times. One of the cameras was installed at the wrong angle and pointing mostly at the sky. When I asked him to fix it, he said it was fine and left. I've since had to hire someone else to reposition it. Disappointed overall.

The system has been more trouble than it's worth. Within the first two months, the main panel lost connectivity twice and I had to reset everything manually. The instructions in the manual are vague and the online support chat is basically useless — they just copy and paste generic responses. When I finally got someone on the phone, they walked me through a fix that lasted about a week before the same issue came back. For the price I'm paying I expected something much more reliable. Still looking for a resolution.

I moved into a new apartment and signed up with Safe Streets because they had a promotion running. In hindsight I should have read the reviews more carefully. The doorbell camera they installed stopped working after about six weeks. Getting a replacement required three calls, two emails, and waiting nearly three weeks for a technician. During that time I had no functioning doorbell camera at all. The replacement works now but I have zero confidence it won't happen again. The support team is polite but completely ineffective at actually solving problems.
