I specifically asked before signing up whether my car was covered while parked at my restoration shop and was told yes. After a break-in caused significant damage to the interior of my 1971 Dodge Charger, they denied the claim citing exclusions I was never made aware of. I feel misled. The coverage that was described to me over the phone and what was actually in the fine print of the policy were two very different things. Very disappointed.

Signed up for a policy on my 1966 Ford Galaxie and within two months they sent a cancellation notice with almost no explanation. When I called to find out why, I was transferred three times and given vague answers about underwriting guidelines. No one could tell me specifically what the issue was. I had to scramble to find new coverage and lost time and money in the process. Totally unprofessional handling of the situation.
The policy itself seems decent but getting any kind of service is painful. I waited on hold for 47 minutes last week just to ask a simple question about my mileage limit. The website is outdated and doesn't let you do anything useful online. For a company that caters to car enthusiasts who presumably value their time, the customer experience feels like it's stuck in 1985. I haven't had a claim so I can't speak to that, but the day-to-day experience leaves a lot to be desired.
Filed a claim when hail damaged the hood and roof of my 1969 Chevelle and the experience was infuriating from start to finish. The adjuster they sent clearly had no experience with classic cars and used generic repair estimates that didn't account for the specialty work required. It took five months to settle and I ended up getting less than half of what the repairs actually cost me. I had to pay out of pocket to make my car right. This is not the coverage they advertise.
I was excited to insure my 1953 Hudson Hornet with a company that specializes in classics, but the experience has been underwhelming. The agreed value I submitted was questioned and they came back asking for additional documentation repeatedly over a period of months. By the time everything was finalized I had wasted enormous amounts of time. The policy is in place now but I'm already researching competitors because this process should not have been this complicated.
My 1964 Impala was stolen from my driveway and the claims process with J.C. Taylor has been absolutely horrific. It has been four months and I still have not received a settlement. Every time I call I get a different representative who doesn't seem to know the status of my claim. I've been asked to submit the same documents multiple times. I hired an attorney to help me navigate this and she said she's seen this pattern of delay tactics before. Do not trust this company with your prized vehicle.
The premiums went up significantly at my renewal with no real explanation beyond a generic letter about market conditions. When I asked for a breakdown of why my rate increased by nearly 30 percent, no one could give me a satisfactory answer. I've made no claims in four years with this company. Loyal customers deserve better treatment than this. I'm shopping around and will likely be moving my policy before the renewal date.
Mixed experience overall. The initial signup process was fine and the price was competitive for my 1957 Thunderbird. However when I tried to add a second vehicle to my policy it took over three weeks and multiple phone calls to get it done. The agents are friendly enough when you reach them but the internal processes seem really disorganized. I'm staying for now because the price is right but I'm keeping my eye on alternatives.
