Magnetic North Travel planned our two-week Iceland trip from start to finish and it was absolutely flawless. Every hotel was perfectly located, the guided glacier hike was a highlight of my life, and our local guide Sigrid was extraordinarily knowledgeable. When our connecting flight in Reykjavik got delayed, the agency had already rebooked us before we even had a chance to panic. Cannot recommend them enough.

I booked a Northern Lights tour through Magnetic North and it exceeded every expectation I had. The small group size meant we got personal attention, and our guide actually tracked the aurora forecast in real time and drove us 40 miles to a better viewing spot. We saw the most incredible display I've ever witnessed. Worth every single penny.
Used Magnetic North to plan a Scandinavian cruise add-on trip through Norway. The itinerary was thoughtfully crafted and the accommodations in Bergen were gorgeous. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is that one of the restaurant reservations they made for us got lost, so we waited about 45 minutes for a table. But the agency apologized immediately and sent a small gift to our hotel room. Good customer recovery.
My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary on a trip Magnetic North put together for us in Patagonia. They remembered it was our anniversary without us even mentioning it twice, and arranged a private candlelit dinner at a lodge overlooking Torres del Paine. The attention to detail was something I've never experienced with a travel agency before. Truly a trip of a lifetime.
I've used at least six different travel agencies over the years and Magnetic North is in a completely different league. They organized a self-drive tour of Scotland for me and three friends. The route they mapped out hit every whisky distillery, castle, and coastal road we wanted. The printed travel booklet they provided was incredibly detailed and saved us constantly. Already planning my next trip with them.
Really disappointed with my experience. I booked a guided tour of the Canadian Rockies and was told the group would be no more than 10 people. We ended up with 22 people in the group and it felt like a cattle drive. The guide was rushed and barely had time to answer questions. When I complained to the agency afterward, I got a generic email response and no real resolution. Won't be booking with them again.
Booked a guided trip to Greenland through Magnetic North and overall it was a wonderful experience. The logistics of getting to such a remote destination were handled seamlessly. Our guide was passionate and deeply knowledgeable about local Inuit culture. Docking a star only because a kayaking excursion was cancelled due to weather with no alternative offered, which was a letdown. Everything else was excellent.
This was a disaster from beginning to end. The travel agent I worked with gave me incorrect visa information for my trip to Russia and I nearly couldn't board my flight. I had to scramble at the airport for over three hours. When I got home and asked for a partial refund for the stress and the extra fees I incurred, I was told the visa responsibility was mine. I understand that technically but a travel agency should know better. Absolutely unacceptable.
