Magnetic North Travel

Really solid experience booking a winter wildlife tour in Canada through Magnetic North. We tracked wolves in Banff which was an extraordinary experience. The guide was one of the best I've ever had on any trip. Communication before departure was thorough and I never felt uninformed. Only minor complaint is that the welcome packet arrived just two days before our flight which felt a bit last minute. Would still book with them again.

The tour itself to Iceland was fine but I felt the agency was overly hands-off once the booking was confirmed. I had to follow up multiple times for confirmation documents and when I asked a specific question about tipping customs the response I got was copy-pasted from a website. For what I paid I expected more personalized service. The actual trip had some magical moments but the agency experience left me underwhelmed.

Just returned from an 18-day Antarctica and South Georgia expedition booked through Magnetic North and I am still processing how extraordinary it was. Seeing king penguins by the thousands, watching humpback whales breach alongside the ship, and landing on the continent itself were experiences that will never leave me. The team at Magnetic North were meticulous planners and genuinely passionate about polar travel. This is the only agency I will use for adventure travel going forward.
