The dog trainer here was dismissive and borderline rude. I explained that my dog has fear-based aggression and instead of adjusting her approach she just kept repeating the same commands louder. My dog shut down completely. When I raised concerns after class she told me my dog 'just wasn't ready for training.' That's not helpful feedback, that's a cop-out. Complete waste of $300.

I applied to adopt a cat from PuppyPad's shelter three weeks ago and have heard absolutely nothing. I've called twice and emailed once. The phone just rings or goes to a full voicemail box. For an organization that claims to want animals in loving homes, the adoption process is shockingly disorganized. I ended up adopting from another shelter that actually responded.
Purchased a puppy from PuppyPad and within two weeks our vet discovered the puppy had a respiratory infection and early signs of a congenital heart murmur. When I contacted PuppyPad with documentation from my vet, they refused to provide any refund or assistance and told me all sales were final. I have since learned this is a known issue with how they source their animals. Do your research before buying.
Adopted a dog from the shelter who was described as good with kids and other animals. Within the first week he showed serious resource guarding and snapped at my seven-year-old. When I called PuppyPad they said behavior assessments weren't guaranteed. That's incredibly irresponsible. I had to hire an outside trainer at my own expense to manage what should have been disclosed upfront. Families with children beware.
I volunteered at PuppyPad's shelter for about a month and eventually stopped going because of what I witnessed. Animals in some of the back kennels were not getting adequate socialization time, and when I raised this with staff I was told to focus on my assigned tasks. The adoption-facing areas look great but behind the scenes it's a different story. I can't in good conscience recommend this shelter.
The dog training session I booked was canceled on me twice with less than two hours notice each time. No explanation beyond 'scheduling conflict.' By the time I finally got in, the trainer was clearly distracted and cut the session short by fifteen minutes. I paid for a full hour. When I asked about the time I didn't get, I was told I could book a makeup session. No thanks. This place does not value your time.
I brought my senior dog to the kennel and specifically mentioned she has anxiety and does not do well in loud environments. I was assured she would be placed in a quieter section. When I picked her up after three days she was shaking and had not eaten according to the records they gave me. She clearly was not placed where I requested. No one called me during her stay despite telling them to check in. Never again.
